Achievements are milestone rewards that unlock automatically when kids or students reach specific goals.
Unlike coins and quests that require manual actions, achievements trigger in the background based on cumulative progress.
They celebrate big wins, encourage consistency, and provide long-term motivation beyond daily XP rewards.

How Achievements Unlock
Auto-Unlock System
Achievements unlock automatically in the background as you use Kinderon. No need to claim or activate - the system
constantly monitors your progress and triggers achievements when criteria are met.
🔄 Unlock Flow:
- User performs action (tap coin, complete quest, level up, etc.)
- System updates user stats in database
- Achievement checker runs (checks all achievement criteria)
- If criteria met → Achievement unlocks!
- 🎉 Celebration animation appears on screen
- Badge added to profile
- Notification sent (optional)
- Leaderboard updates
💡 Example: Emma taps "Reading Coin" for the 25th time. The system detects this matches
"Bookworm" achievement criteria (25 reading coins). Achievement unlocks instantly with confetti animation and "Bookworm 📚"
badge appears on her profile!

or classroom objectives not covered by default achievements.
Custom Achievement Setup:
- Navigate to "Achievements" → "Create Custom Achievement"
- Name: "Piano Practice Champion"
- Description: "Practice piano 20 times"
- Trigger Type: Coin Tap Count
- Trigger Value: "Piano Practice" coin serial
- Required Count: 20 taps
- Bonus XP: 500
- Badge Icon: 🎹
- Rarity: Epic
- Save and achievement auto-tracks!

Frequently Asked Questions
❓ Do achievements give XP rewards?
Yes! Each achievement awards bonus XP (typically 100-1000 XP depending on rarity). This is a one-time reward added
when the achievement unlocks. The XP helps you level up faster!
❓ Can achievements be lost?
No! Once unlocked, achievements are permanent. However, streak achievements track your current
streak. If you break a 30-day streak, you lose the active streak but keep the "Month Master" badge you already earned.
❓ How many total achievements are there?
Currently 50+ default achievements plus unlimited custom achievements. We add new achievements monthly
based on user suggestions! Check "Achievement Gallery" to see all available achievements and unlock progress.
❓ Can I see locked achievements?
Yes! The "Achievement Gallery" shows both unlocked (full color) and locked (grayed out) achievements. Locked achievements
display their unlock criteria so you know what to work toward. Some "secret" achievements don't show criteria to add surprise!
❓ Do teachers see student achievements?
Yes! Teachers can view class-wide achievement stats and individual student showcases. Great for recognizing effort and
identifying students who might benefit from specific encouragement. All data is FERPA-compliant.
❓ Can parents create achievements for specific kids?
Absolutely! When creating custom achievements, you can assign them to specific kids, all kids, or make them global.
Example: Create "Emma's Piano Goal" (20 piano taps) for just Emma, while "Summer Reading Challenge" applies to all kids.
❓ What's the rarest achievement?
Currently, "Eternal" (365-day streak) is the rarest, unlocked by less than 1% of users. It requires
tapping at least one coin every single day for a full year. Legendary status!
