Multi-Step Challenges That Drive Lasting Change

Transform goals into epic adventures with progress tracking & bonus rewards

What Are Quests?

Quests are multi-step challenges that reward sustained effort over time. Unlike single coin taps that reward immediate actions, quests encourage kids and students to work toward larger goals through sequential steps. Each quest has a completion reward, progress tracking, and optional time limits to create urgency and excitement.

๐Ÿ’ก Reward Sizing Tips:

  • Short quests (3-5 steps): Bonus = 3-5x per-step value
  • Medium quests (7-14 steps): Bonus = 5-8x per-step value
  • Long quests (20+ steps): Bonus = 10-15x per-step value
  • Epic quests (30+ days): Add real-world rewards (toy, outing, special privilege)

Frequently Asked Questions

โ“ What happens if a quest expires before completion?

Expired quests automatically mark as "failed" and move to quest history. No XP is lost from steps already completed, but the completion bonus is not awarded. You can restart the same quest or create a new one.

โ“ Can I edit a quest after it's started?

Yes! You can edit quest name, description, and rewards. However, you cannot change the number of steps or duration once participants have started making progress. This prevents gaming the system.

โ“ How do recurring quests work?

Enable "Recurring" when creating a quest. After completion, a new identical quest auto-starts immediately. Perfect for weekly challenges like "Perfect Homework Week" that resets every Monday. Progress from previous quest is saved in history.

โ“ Can multiple kids/students work on the same quest together?

Yes! You can assign one quest to multiple participants. Each tracks their progress individually (most common) OR you can enable "Shared Progress" mode where the group works together toward one goal. Great for team projects or family challenges.

โ“ Do quest steps require specific coin taps?

By default, NO. Any tap earns XP and can increment quest progress if the quest is active. However, you can enable "Trigger-Based" mode to require specific coins. Example: "Reading Quest" only progresses when "Reading Coin" is tapped.

โ“ Can I delete a quest in progress?

Yes, but use carefully. Deleting an active quest removes it from participants' dashboards and quest history. XP already earned from steps is NOT removed. Better practice: let it expire or mark as complete manually.

โ“ How many active quests can someone have?

No hard limit, but we recommend 3-5 active quests max per person to avoid overwhelm. Focus beats volume! Better to complete 3 quests well than juggle 10 and complete none.

โ“ Do quests integrate with achievements?

Absolutely! Completing quests unlocks achievements like "Quest Novice" (1 quest), "Quest Master" (10 quests), "Speed Runner" (quest completed in under 48 hours), etc. Learn more about achievements โ†’
